Have you ever considered exploring the magnificent underwater world but are unsure where to start? Consider a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience or a RAID Try Diving day. Both programs are essential the same and both will allow prospective divers the ability to practice their skills in the pool then dive two tanks and the amazing warm blue waters of the Playa Del Carmen Mexico.

Some Basic Theory

All new adventures require a bit of knowledge and education before going forward, and Scuba is no different. Inherently safe when done under the proper conditions with experienced instructors, Try Scuba is no different. An hour in the classroom to explain some of the basic of diving such as equipment, pressures, and physics starts a new diver onto the correct path of being safe and knowledgeable.

Scuba Diving in Playa Del Carmen

Rated as one of the best scuba instructors in Playa Del Carmen, our owner has years of experience teaching and training new divers. Some basic skills in the pool such as mask clearing, regulator recovery, and buoyancy, as easily learned with the patience of our instructor. We can spend an hour in the pool or even three hours, as the students wellbeing is our highest priority.

Diving in Playa Del Carmen

After a break for lunch, we head to the ocean for some shallow and easy dives on the reefs of Playa Del Carmen. At a maximum depth of 35 ft/12 m, the reefs get directly sunlight from above and are teeming with life. Large schools of fish, stingrays, surgeons, eels, and barracuda spend their time on the reefs to seek shelter as well as hunt. The visibility is often greater than 100ft/30m and crystal clear presenting the divers with an amazing opportunity for family photos under the sea. Instructors are not allowed to carry a camera when teaching, however, we always send a photographer with our groups to capture the memories.

Scuba diving is an activity that individuals or families can enjoy together. The only requirement is ten years of age or older and good physical health. With over 70% of the earth’s surface covered in water, the options for diving are nearly endless. Whether your next vacation takes you to the Australia, Jamaica, the Bahamas, or Playa Del Carmen Mexico, diving is a great and safe family sport.
